Marty Banks signs deal with Italian side Treviso for next season

Marty Banks' professional rugby career has taken him to Russia, Buller, Tasman and the Highlanders. Now he's heading to Italy.

The 26-year-old Highlanders first-five has signed on to play for Bennetton Rugby Treviso in the Pro12 and the European Rugby Champions Cup next season.

The Bennetton club website confirmed the move, and Banks was quoted as being excited about the change in scenery.

"When I heard that Treviso was interested in me, it was really exciting. They immediately made me feel part of the club project," Banks said.

"I can't wait to get started in this new adventure."
