Will was a standout for NZ U20's in the 2017 World Championship in Georgia . He signed with the Tasman Mako out of CBHS for 2017, and has excelled at fullback with his balance, vision and pace. Will scored two tries in the 2019 NPC victory.

A regular player for the Crusaders since 2020, Will became an All Black in 2020 (All Black # 1191) which prevented him playing in the 2020 NPC Premiership Final and subsequent games for the Mako, and has since played 21 Tests, scoring 21 tries.
