Shane Christie & James Marshall named in national 7's squad

Tasman has doubled its numbers in the New Zealand sevens team, with James Marshall joining Shane Christie in the national set-up.

Coach Gordon Tietjens named his squad of 16 for the series following a training camp this week, which begins on the Gold Coast at the end of the month.

Christie was in the squad which competed in the 2011 season, taking the pitch in the final two rounds of the IRB world sevens series, while this is Marshall's first selection.

Marshall will be travelling in the group of 12 to compete in the first three tournaments in Gold Coast, Dubai and Port Elizabeth.

Christie will miss the first two outings through injury, but is expected to be fit in time for the South Africa leg.
